Childhood Cancer

Supporting causes which tackle childhood cancer and those with it is central to Lionism. 

As a result, Lion Luke and a small team including Mark Curtis and Martin Wilson decided to 'take a hike' in support of Martin House Hospice. 

The Hospice provides incredible support for young people with life-shortening conditions and is an organisation which is backed throughout District 105N.

Over 11 hours, the trio walked from Ingleborough to Whernside and finished at Pen-y-ghent which raised over £1500 for Martin House.

Making this all the more worthwhile was that the funding was matched by LCIF which meant that its value increased to just over £3000.
